FAQ's

  • Is your beef grass fed? All beef is grass fed. Our beef is pasture raised, then grain finished for 90 days to help develop the marbling for the best flavor possible. They are finished with a 3 way, which is Oats, Barley and Corn. All of our retail beef is finished that way. With that being said, we do offer grass finished beef shares. Just send us a message when ordering

  • What is a beef share? A beef share is when you purchase either an whole or half beef. Doing it this way you get a variety of cuts, for less money per lb. You get to give the butcher your cut instructions so it is tailored to your liking. *buyer pays the cut and wrap fee*
  • Do you vaccinate and give your animals antibiotics? Our animals health is our FIRST priority. We do vaccinate the appropriate vaccinations as per our veterinarians recommendation. It's not very often we end up with sick cows, but when we do we treat them with what they need. We wouldn't want to suffer, why should they? We have had to treat 1 calf out of almost 100 in the last few years with antibiotics, that's how rare it is. We don't see it often but it does happen. We always wait the appropriate amount of time after an animal is treated before they are taken to butcher IF they ever go. Most times if a calf is sick when they are young and treated with antibiotics they generally never reach weight. So the chances of getting a beef from us that has been treated with any sort of antibiotic is slim to none.
  • Is our beef organic? No it is not organic because we vaccinate and we don't buy organic grains.
